Grievance Redressal

Effective date: October 6, 2026

Grievance Officer

Abhishek Mitra — [email protected]

Equanimity Labs (OPC) Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Also the contact for DPDP Act, 2023 data-protection matters and copyright notices (see Copyright Policy).

Scope

  • moderation decisions and appeals against removed or blocked content;
  • copyright and intellectual-property complaints;
  • credits, payment, refund and billing questions;
  • account, access and security concerns;
  • privacy and data-protection requests (access, correction, deletion, objection, breach).

How to complain

Email the Grievance Officer your username and account email, the issue, the content concerned (link if possible) and any evidence. Moderation appeals: include the date and content. Data-protection requests: state the right you are exercising.

Government takedowns

Under Rule 3(1)(d) of the IT Rules, 2021 (as amended), a valid direction is a reasoned intimation or court order from an officer authorised in writing (not below Joint Secretary or equivalent; DIG or above for police), sent to the Grievance Officer. Accepted sender domains: gov.in, nic.in, meity.gov.in. We block the identified users, posts, games and comments automatically, well within the 3-hour limit — usually within 10 minutes.

Put the references in the email body. PDF, text and CSV attachments are parsed but lossy; references only in an attachment may be missed. Give, for each item:

  • user — a numeric user ID, or the handle written as @username (a bare username with no @ cannot be detected);
  • post — /posts/<post-id>, or post ID;
  • game — /play/<game-id>, or game ID;
  • comment — comment ID.

IDs are numeric and share a length range across types, so the automated blocker tries every numeric ID against every type — user, post, game and comment — and blocks each match. A blocked account is deactivated (no login or access) and its games are hidden as well.

Timelines

  • acknowledge: 24 hours;
  • dispose: 7 days;
  • removal requests under Rule 3(1)(b): 36 hours;
  • actual knowledge (court order or authorised-officer intimation): remove within 3 hours;
  • DPDP Act requests: as required by the Act.

Appeals

Grievance Appellate Committee (Rule 3A): appeal within 30 days at gac.gov.in. Data-protection complaints: Data Protection Board of India (or, under the GDPR, your local supervisory authority). Disputes: courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka (see Terms).
